Print copies of your resume.

We recommend bringing at least 10 copies of your resume with you. If you do not have a printer, you can print copies at no cost at one of our Workforce Solutions Centers.

Bring a pen and notepad.

Make notes about the employer's name, title, contact info, and the position you are applying for/interested in for follow-up purposes.

Dress for the interview.

With recruiters and hiring managers on-site, it's important to make a great first impression. For men, a collared shirt and long pants/jeans are recommended. For women, a dress or long pants/jeans or skirt paired with a nice blouse is recommended.

Practice your elevator pitch.

When meeting employers, first impressions count. Practice your 20-second elevator pitch (introduction) which includes:

1. Your name
2. Qualifications
3. Experience/education
4. Skillset before entering the hiring fair.

Be interview ready.

Many employers will be interviewing candidates on-site. We recommend practicing common interview questions before the hiring event.

Is this event free to attend? This event is at no cost to job seekers or employers.

What area are participating employers located? Participating employers are from the Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan counties of Texas.

Why should I check in online, can't I just check in at the event? While checking in online is optional, we recommend as job seekers can upload their resume online during check in, which we provide to the employers after the event. Job seekers can also by-pass the on-site check in line for faster entry.

Will employers be interviewing or hiring candidates on-site? Some employers may interview and even hire candidates on-site during the event, check out the Tips page to learn how you can prepare for an interview.

I'm an employer, how can I sign-up to participate? Employers may register here. For more information, please contact us at solutions@hotworkforce.com
